Frequently asked questions

On Limitless, the dashboard for the 2026 World Cup top scorer market tracks real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to Argentina's chances of scoring the most goals in the tournament. The interface displays current market sentiment, historical price trends, and trading activity to help you monitor how expectations shift as the event approaches. This market reflects collective forecasts from prediction traders worldwide, offering a dynamic alternative to traditional sportsbook lines for this high-profile World Cup outcome.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different audiences and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader consensus and real-money incentives. Prediction markets typically reflect longer-term, aggregate expectations and can respond more fluidly to new information. For major events like the World Cup, comparing this market's implied probability to published sportsbook odds can reveal where professional and retail forecasters disagree on Argentina's scoring potential.

On Limitless, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent yes or no outcomes. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the collective belief about whether Argentina will score the most goals at the tournament, with each share worth a fixed amount if the outcome occurs. As new information emerges—team roster changes, injury updates, or qualifying results—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. This continuous price discovery mechanism ensures the market stays aligned with current expectations.

This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the 2026 World Cup concludes and final goal tallies are verified. The outcome is determined by comparing Argentina's total goals scored throughout the tournament to those of every other competing nation. If Argentina finishes with the highest goal count, the yes outcome wins; otherwise, the no outcome prevails. Resolution is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting of official tournament records.

Several catalysts could shift trader sentiment before resolution. Key squad announcements, coaching changes, and injury updates to Argentina's roster will influence perceived scoring depth. Qualifying performance and goal-scoring form in the months leading up to the tournament often trigger repricing. Draws and group assignments, once announced, may reveal easier or tougher paths to high goal totals. Additionally, major roster changes at clubs where Argentina's key players compete, or shifts in tactical approach, could alter expectations about offensive output. Real-time tournament results will drive the most dramatic moves once matches begin.
