This set of markets focuses on predicting the point differential in the second half of a college football game between Appalachian State and NC State. Each market corresponds to a specific point margin threshold that NC State or Appalachian State must exceed to win that particular market.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the second half (including overtime) of the Appalachian St. vs NC St. college football game scheduled for Sep 26, 2026. For NC State markets, resolution occurs if NC State wins the second half by more than the specified point margin (ranging from 2.5 to 23.5 points). For Appalachian State markets, resolution occurs if Appalachian State wins the second half by more than the specified point margin (ranging from 2.5 to 14.5 points). If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own predictions. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook line is inaccurate, they can drive the price on Kalshi in a different direction. This can sometimes lead to more accurate probabilities, as the market incorporates a wider range of information and perspectives than a single sportsbook might.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as they profit if their predictions are correct and lose if they are wrong. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market price is constantly adjusting to reflect the latest information and sentiment surrounding the Appalachian State vs NC State game.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point spread for the second half of the Appalachian State vs NC State game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. Contracts predicting the correct spread will settle at 100, while those predicting an incorrect spread will settle at 0. The official result will be sourced from a recognized sports data provider, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Appalachian State or NC State teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the market. Furthermore, any late-breaking information about team strategies or coaching decisions could cause traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions, leading to price movements on Kalshi.
