This market will resolve to "YES" if any head coach or manager (the senior team official responsible for leading the team) is shown a red card by the on-field referee during or immediately after any official 2026 FIFA World Cup match, including stoppage time and extra time. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO." Post-match sanctions imposed by FIFA's Disciplinary Committee do not count. Assistant coaches and other technical staff do not count. This market will resolve as soon as a qualifying incident is confirmed, or once all official 2026 FIFA World Cup matches have been completed and no qualifying incident has occurred. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled or postponed after July 31, 2026, 23:59 UTC, this market will resolve to "NO.” The primary resolution source will be the Live Blog section of the official FIFA.com match report for the relevant match. If this data is unavailable within 72 hours after the match is completed, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different trader bases and liquidity structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs in real time. For this market, prediction traders may price in longer-term coaching discipline trends and historical red-card frequency, whereas sportsbooks may emphasize recent form or specific referee assignments. Comparing the two reveals whether consensus leans toward higher or lower disciplinary risk than bookmakers expect.
On Limitless, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability curves. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing "yes" (a coach is sent off) or "no" (no coach receives a red card), with the price of each outcome reflecting aggregate demand. As new information emerges—such as coaching suspensions, rule clarifications, or tournament draws—traders adjust positions, moving the probability dynamically. The platform's fee structure and liquidity pools determine the bid-ask spread and execution costs.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, after the 2026 World Cup concludes. The outcome is determined by whether any head coach receives a red card during any official match throughout the tournament. Resolution is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting of match records and official disciplinary records. Traders should monitor final group-stage and knockout results to assess the likelihood of at least one coaching ejection occurring across all matches played.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly: announcement of the tournament draw and group assignments, confirmation of head coaches for each nation, any high-profile coaching suspensions or bans before the tournament, rule changes affecting coach conduct or red-card thresholds, and early tournament matches showing referee enforcement patterns. Media coverage of coaching discipline incidents in qualifying rounds or warm-up friendlies may also influence trader sentiment. As the tournament progresses, each match outcome and referee decisions will provide real-time signals that traders incorporate into their positions.
