This market tracks the outcome of the first set in the professional tennis match between Antonia Ruzic and Emma Raducanu at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 1 will determine the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 1 in the Ruzic vs Raducanu match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and trader bases. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders who profit from accurate forecasts. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because participants have direct financial incentives to identify mispricings. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news. Comparing both sources helps you identify value and understand how different communities assess the match outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief about the probability of that outcome, with prices ranging from near zero to one dollar. As new trades execute, prices adjust in real time. Traders profit by buying undervalued outcomes and selling overvalued ones, which drives prices toward their true probabilities over time.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the first set of the Ruzic versus Raducanu match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records. Until that point, prices will fluctuate based on pre-match analysis, player form, injury reports, and live match developments. After resolution, all shares are settled at either one dollar or zero depending on the actual result.
Several factors may shift prices in this market before resolution. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player could trigger sharp moves. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and surface-specific performance data often influence trader positioning. Court conditions, weather, and seeding announcements closer to match day can also drive trading activity. During the match itself, live set dynamics—break points, momentum swings, and service performance—will cause rapid repricing as traders react to unfolding events and update their win probability estimates.
