Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven purely by traders' willingness to buy or sell based on their beliefs. If there’s a significant discrepancy between the two, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when there’s a lot of information available and active trading.
