Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it may indicate differing levels of confidence or access to information. It's common to see this market adjust rapidly as new information becomes available, potentially exceeding the speed of sportsbook adjustments.
