On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand, with no centralized entity setting the odds. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective intelligence of its participants.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Oleksieev vs. Storozhenko match, as determined by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future markets. The resolution process is designed to be objective and impartial.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to either Oleksieev or Storozhenko would likely have a substantial impact on the odds. Changes in their recent performance, announcements about their training regimens, or even pre-match interviews expressing confidence or concern could all influence trader behavior. Unexpected developments in the broader sporting landscape, such as rule changes or controversies, could also indirectly affect the market. Public sentiment and expert analysis may also contribute to shifts in pricing.
