This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Alicia Dudeney and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro at the 2026 WTA Eastbourne tournament. One of the two players will win set 2, and the market resolves based on who prevails in that specific set.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 2 in the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds represent consensus among traders willing to stake real capital on the outcome, which can differ meaningfully from traditional betting lines. Comparing the two reveals whether professional oddsmakers or decentralized traders are pricing in information more efficiently for this particular set.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders; as new bets flow in, prices adjust to clear supply and demand. Shares trade between 0 and 100 cents, with the sum of all outcome prices converging toward 100 cents at resolution. This continuous repricing ensures the market reflects the latest information about player form, court conditions, and match dynamics.
This market resolves around Jun 22, 2026, once the second set of the Dudeney vs Bouzas Maneiro match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official tennis scoring rules. Resolution occurs shortly after the set ends, allowing traders to settle positions and claim winnings. No ambiguity exists in set outcomes, making this a straightforward binary event tied directly to the match result.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Player injury or withdrawal would trigger immediate repricing. First-set performance provides crucial momentum and fatigue signals that traders incorporate into set-two expectations. Court conditions, weather, and serve-return statistics from the opening set all influence second-set probabilities. Betting action from informed players or syndicates can move prices sharply. Real-time match commentary and live point-by-point data during play will drive continuous repricing as traders update their beliefs about each player's likelihood of winning the set.
