This market determines the winner of the second set in the professional tennis match between Alexandra Eala and Iga Swiatek at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 32, scheduled for July 4. The market resolves based on which player wins the set according to standard tennis scoring rules.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 2 of the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on the outcome. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial exposure. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether traders see value that traditional oddsmakers have mispriced.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders; higher prices indicate stronger confidence in that outcome. As new information emerges or trading activity shifts, prices adjust in real time, allowing you to enter or exit positions at market rates that continuously reflect updated expectations for the Set 2 winner.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the Eala vs Swiatek match concludes and the Set 2 result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set according to official match records. Your position will settle based on the confirmed winner, with payouts distributed to those who correctly predicted the result.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Player form and recent match results leading up to the event may influence trader confidence in each competitor. Injury reports, court surface conditions, and head-to-head history are common catalysts that traders monitor. News coverage and expert analysis can also sway sentiment. As the match date approaches and players' preparation becomes clearer, expect increased volatility in this market as new information becomes available and traders adjust their positions accordingly.
