Kalshi

Resolution is based on which player wins set 2 in the Alex Michelsen vs Jacob Fearnley match at 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs. This market aggregates dispersed information from many independent traders, which can sometimes reveal edges that traditional sportsbooks have not yet priced in, though both venues converge over time as information becomes public.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability that outcome will occur, ranging from near zero to near one dollar. As new information emerges or trader conviction shifts, bids and asks adjust, and the market price moves accordingly. This continuous repricing ensures the odds stay aligned with real-time expectations.

This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the second set of the Michelsen vs Fearnley match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records. Until that point, traders can buy and sell shares freely, and the market price will fluctuate based on evolving expectations about the likely winner.

Several factors may shift odds in this market before the match begins or during play. Pre-match signals include recent form, head-to-head records, court surface preference, and injury reports. During the first set, performance metrics such as break points won, serve efficiency, and momentum swings can influence trader expectations for the second set. Weather conditions, player fatigue, and tactical adjustments between sets may also prompt repricing as new information becomes available to the trading community.
