Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. This market reflects the collective wisdom of traders, who may weigh factors differently than sportsbooks do. While sportsbooks often set lines based on statistical models and public betting patterns, this market incorporates a broader range of information and individual insights. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on team form, potential injuries, or even less quantifiable factors influencing the second half result. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd believes there is value.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by new information, changing sentiment, and strategic trading activity. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date expectations.

This market resolves around Sep 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result of the second half of the Albacete Balompié versus Córdoba CF match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on official match data, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in the market's settlement, and winning shares will be redeemed according to the market's rules.

Several factors could influence this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Albacete or Córdoba could significantly shift the odds. Tactical changes announced by either manager, or even in-game events like a red card or early goal, could also cause substantial movement. Unexpected weather conditions, or even a shift in public sentiment following pre-match analysis, could also play a role. Monitoring team news and real-time game developments will be crucial for understanding potential market fluctuations.
