This market tracks which team will lead after the second quarter of a college football game between Alabama and Kentucky. It reflects the competitive momentum and scoring efficiency of each team during that specific segment of the match.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the second quarter of the Alabama vs Kentucky college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. If Kentucky scores more points in that quarter, the 'Kentucky wins 2nd Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If Alabama scores more points, the 'Alabama wins 2nd Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If both teams score the same number of points, the 'Tie 2nd Quarter' market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what’s immediately available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team statistics and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to trade on their belief about the game’s outcome, potentially leading to odds that differ from those found at traditional sportsbooks. It’s common to see prediction markets react quickly to new information, such as injury reports or weather forecasts, and adjust probabilities accordingly, sometimes before sportsbooks do.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome – Alabama winning the 2nd quarter, Kentucky winning, or a tie. The price of each contract reflects the market’s probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as traders react to news and information, creating a real-time assessment of the likely winner of the second quarter.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team that has the most points at the end of the second quarter will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, that outcome will be considered the result. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics and will be determined independently of the platform, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Alabama or Kentucky would likely cause a shift in probabilities. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also move the market. Additionally, pre-game analysis from sports analysts and any late-breaking news about team strategies or starting lineups could influence traders’ decisions and alter the odds. Public sentiment and betting patterns observed elsewhere could also have an effect on this market.
