This market tracks which team will lead at the end of the first half in an upcoming college football game. It reflects the competitive performance of the teams during the initial 30 minutes of play, offering insight into early-game momentum without considering the full-game outcome.
The market resolves based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the Alabama St. vs Troy college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. If Troy scores more points than Alabama St. in the first half, the "Troy wins 1st Half" market resolves to Yes. If Alabama St. scores more points than Troy in the first half, the "Alabama St. wins 1st Half" market resolves to Yes. If both teams score an equal number of points in the first half, resulting in a tie, the "Tie 1st Half" market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the official first half count toward resolution. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result of the first half as played. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. On Kalshi, traders currently assign a probability to each team based on real-time trading activity. Sportsbook odds, by contrast, reflect bookmaker assessments and may include adjustments for handling customer bets. While both sources aim to predict the same outcome, prediction market odds often shift more quickly in response to new information and trader sentiment. This difference means you might see varying implied probabilities between the two, especially as game day approaches or after key developments affect team performance or player availability.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official game result, specifically the score at the end of the first half, will determine the winning side and settle all positions accordingly.
In the time leading up to Sep 12, 2026, several factors could influence trader sentiment and shift probabilities in this market. Key players returning from injury, coaching strategy changes, or significant performances in earlier matchups may all impact expectations for the first half. Additionally, broader factors such as weather conditions on game day, travel fatigue for either team, or even shifts in public betting trends could cause volatility. Traders will react to any news that alters the perceived likelihood of which team will lead at halftime.
