Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. Furthermore, the incentives differ: sportsbooks profit from the spread, whereas prediction market participants profit from accurate predictions. Therefore, comparing odds across both can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either team, changes in coaching strategies, or significant shifts in team performance could all impact predictions. Unexpected weather conditions on game day could also play a role. Furthermore, large volume trades on either Polymarket or Kalshi could indicate new information or a change in market sentiment. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for traders looking to capitalize on potential price movements before the market resolves.
