Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on models and internal risk assessments, while this market aggregates individual predictions. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information—like late-breaking injury news—more rapidly than sportsbooks, impacting the probabilities offered for this market.
