Issue:

Kalshi market logic is fundamentally broken: it resolves YES for both possible outcomes (Coachella Valley wins OR Abbotsford wins), making it logically impossible to resolve to NO. Polymarket has coherent binary logic (one team wins, market resolves to that team's name), while Kalshi's dual-YES structure violates basic market mechanics.

Hero Tip:

Do not trade the Kalshi market. It will resolve YES regardless of the game outcome, making it worthless as a prediction instrument. Polymarket is the only tradeable venue for this event.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Polymarket: Binary winner-take-all structure: market resolves to the name of the winning team (either 'Abbotsford Canucks' or 'Coachella Valley Firebirds'). Exactly one outcome will occur. Includes postponement (market stays open) and cancellation (50-50 split) clauses. Quote: 'If Abbotsford Canucks win, the market will resolve to Abbotsford Canucks. If Coachella Valley Firebirds win, the market will resolve to Coachella Valley Firebirds.'
  • Kalshi: Logically incoherent YES/YES structure: states 'If Coachella Valley Firebirds wins...then resolves to Yes' AND 'If Abbotsford Canucks wins...then resolves to Yes.' No NO outcome is defined for any game result. Quote: 'If Coachella Valley Firebirds wins...resolves to Yes. If Abbotsford Canucks wins...resolves to Yes.'
