On Polymarket and Predict, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading behavior. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might attract more soccer-focused traders who react quickly to in-game momentum, while the other could have a more general audience that leans on pre-match analyses. These dynamics create divergent probability assessments for the same event.
Injuries, tactical changes, or red cards occurring before or during the match could sharply move this market as traders reassess the teams' second-half prospects. Momentum swings early in the second half — like a goal or missed scoring chance — may also cause rapid shifts. Media narratives and crowd pressure can influence trader psychology, especially on lower-volume platforms, leading to volatility.
