This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Adrian Mannarino and Titouan Droguet at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 2 determines the market resolution.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 2 in the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. This market may show materially different implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, especially as new information emerges or if one venue attracts more informed traders. Comparing both can reveal where consensus is strongest or where outlier views persist.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal probability traders assign to that outcome winning Set 2. As new trades execute, prices adjust in real time. You can enter limit or market orders to buy or sell shares, and your position's value fluctuates with the live price until you close it or the market resolves.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the tennis match between Mannarino and Droguet concludes and Set 2 is complete. The outcome will be confirmed against credible public sources reporting the final result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Until that point, prices may shift based on player form, injury reports, or other developments that influence expectations about who will claim the second set.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player would trigger sharp repricing. Recent match results, court surface conditions, and head-to-head history may influence trader confidence. Weather delays or scheduling changes could also impact sentiment. Additionally, live trading during Set 1 will provide real data on how each player performs on the day, potentially causing significant odds swings as traders update their beliefs based on actual play. Betting syndicates or sharp action can also move prices quickly.
