Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one derive prices from continuous trading among participants who believe they can forecast outcomes accurately. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a margin, whereas prediction markets can offer tighter spreads when liquidity is high. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether traders here are more or less bullish on a particular outcome, potentially signaling where informed money is flowing.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers for contracts tied to each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders compete to set the clearing price, which reflects the collective belief about who will win Set 3. Prices range from near zero to near 100, with higher prices indicating stronger perceived likelihood. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, the price adjusts in real time, allowing you to enter or exit positions dynamically throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the third set of the Vallejo vs Mejia match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official result of Set 3 only; the overall match result does not affect this market. Resolution occurs after the set is completed and confirmed through reliable sports reporting. Traders should monitor the match schedule and any official announcements to stay informed of timing and any potential postponements.
Several factors can shift prices in this market before resolution. Player form and recent performance trends, injuries or fitness concerns announced before the match, head-to-head records and playing style matchups, court surface conditions, and weather forecasts can all influence trader sentiment. News about either player's mental state, confidence, or recent tournament results may trigger repricing. Additionally, live match developments—such as early set momentum, break points, or tactical adjustments—will drive substantial price movement once play begins, reflecting real-time assessments of who is favored to claim Set 3.
