This market refers to the cricket match between Malaysia and Thailand scheduled for June 17 2026 in ACC ODI Challenger Cup. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, incorporating a built-in margin. Prediction markets, by contrast, aggregate the beliefs of many traders competing for profit, which can surface information faster and reflect genuine crowd conviction more directly. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, especially as new developments unfold. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value that bookmakers have priced differently.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one possible result, and the price of each share reflects the collective assessment of all active traders at that moment. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the implied probability increases. The market price converges toward the true likelihood as traders with better information or stronger conviction compete to profit, making the final odds a real-time consensus forecast.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring that the resolution reflects what actually occurred on the field. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information and momentum shift their views. Resolution happens automatically once the event is finalized and the data is confirmed.
Several factors could shift this market significantly before it resolves. Team roster announcements, injury updates, or changes to playing conditions can alter expectations about either side's chances. Recent form, head-to-head records, and any weather forecasts closer to game day may prompt traders to reassess their positions. Media coverage and expert commentary can also influence sentiment. Additionally, any late-breaking news about player availability or tactical adjustments could trigger sharp moves in the odds as traders react to new information.
