If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, it could indicate that prediction market traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets move more efficiently and accurately as new information becomes available, potentially outperforming sportsbook odds over time. However, sportsbooks may offer different types of wagers not available in this market.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregate assessment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time forecast. This differs from fixed-odds betting, as the odds adjust constantly based on supply and demand for shares.

This market resolves around Sep 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the ACC Men's Premier Cup 50-Over match between Oman and Hong Kong, as declared by the tournament organizers. The market will determine which team won the match, or if the match ended in a draw or was otherwise incomplete. The final result will be used to determine which shares payout and at what value, based on the probabilities established by trading on Polymarket.

Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market before resolution. Any news regarding team form, player injuries, or changes to the playing conditions could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected weather forecasts affecting the match schedule could also cause shifts in the market. Furthermore, major upsets in other related matches within the tournament might lead traders to reassess their predictions for the Oman vs Hong Kong match. Real-time updates on team lineups and pre-match analysis from cricket experts will likely drive trading volume and price fluctuations.
