This market refers to the cricket match between Malaysia and Bahrain scheduled for September 6 2026 in ACC Men's Premier Cup 50-Over. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. If there’s a significant difference, it could indicate that prediction market participants believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of either Malaysia or Bahrain winning. It’s a useful exercise to compare the implied probabilities from both sources to form a more informed opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of Malaysia winning against Bahrain, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts accordingly, providing a dynamic assessment of the event’s potential results. The current price indicates the market’s collective estimate of the likelihood of this outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the ACC Men's Premier Cup 50-Over match between Malaysia and Bahrain. The winning team, as declared by the tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. Any potential postponements or cancellations will be factored into the resolution process, ensuring a fair and accurate outcome based on the official event results.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could shift the probabilities. Unexpected announcements about team strategies or performance could also trigger significant movement. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants, or even shifts in sentiment based on pre-match analysis, could all contribute to changes in the price of shares representing Malaysia’s chances of winning against Bahrain. Monitoring these signals is key to understanding market dynamics.
