Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many independent traders competing for profit. This market's odds represent a consensus forecast from participants with real money at stake, which can sometimes offer a contrarian view to sportsbook consensus. Comparing the two can highlight where public opinion and professional oddsmakers disagree, though both sources provide valuable perspective on the likely second-half outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible second-half result, and the cumulative volume of those trades determines the probability reflected in the price. As more capital flows toward one outcome, the odds shift accordingly. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to new information and trader sentiment throughout the event window.

This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, once the second half of the Sparta Praha versus Zlín match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the actual second-half score and result as recorded by official match records. Traders who correctly predicted the second-half result receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, allowing quick settlement and payout distribution.

Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Team news—such as injuries, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—often triggers sharp price moves. Early first-half performance and momentum can reshape trader expectations for the second half, since teams may adjust their approach at halftime. Weather conditions, referee decisions, and in-match events like red cards or goals can all influence how traders reassess the likely outcome. Real-time match commentary and social sentiment may also drive trading activity as the event unfolds.
