This market tracks which golfer will lead at the end of Round 3 in the 2026 3M Open. On Kalshi, the current probability that Will Jackson Koivun will lead is 99.0%, while Michael Kim leads at 1.0%. The market resolves based on official tournament results. Watch for the tournament's third round conclusion on August 9, 2026, as this will determine the market outcome.
The market resolves Yes if the specified golfer is the sole leader or tied for the lead at the end of Round 3 of the 2026 3M Open. When multiple participants share the lead, Yes positions receive $1/N (rounded down to the nearest cent), where N equals the number of tied leaders. No positions receive the complement of the Yes payout. If a golfer forfeits or withdraws before teeing off, the market resolves to Fair Market Price. If withdrawal occurs after teeing off, the market resolves to No.
Prediction market odds on this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader positioning rather than fixed betting spreads. Sportsbooks manage risk through margin and limits, while prediction markets aggregate distributed beliefs across many participants. This market's odds can move faster and sometimes price in emerging information before sportsbooks adjust, making it useful for comparing crowd sentiment to professional oddsmakers' views on who will lead after Round 3.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability estimate of the crowd at any moment. As new information emerges—such as leaderboard updates or player withdrawals—traders adjust their positions, and the price moves accordingly. This transparent, real-time pricing model allows you to enter or exit at market rates throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Aug 9, 2026, once the third round of the 3M Open concludes and the leaderboard is finalized. The outcome is determined by verifying who holds the lead after Round 3 against credible public sources, including official PGA Tour scoring and major sports reporting. If there is a tie for the lead, the market rules specify how that scenario is handled. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the round's completion.
Live scoring updates during Round 3 are the primary driver of price movement in this market. A player's hot streak, sudden collapse, or injury can shift odds dramatically as traders reassess who is most likely to lead. Weather conditions, course difficulty, and tee-time groupings also influence expectations. Additionally, any withdrawal or disqualification of a top contender will trigger immediate repricing. Real-time commentary and expert analysis shared on social media and sports platforms often accelerate trader reactions to unfolding events.
