This market will resolve to “Over” if 22 or more players listed as freshman in their most recent NCAA season are selected in the 2026 NBA Draft. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “Under”. If the draft concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NBA information for the completed picks. If the 2026 NBA Draft is canceled, postponed or not completed by July 9, 2026, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction markets like Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they aggregate real-time trader sentiment rather than relying on oddsmakers' models. Sportsbooks typically adjust lines to balance action and manage liability, while prediction markets allow participants to continuously buy and sell positions, creating a dynamic price discovery mechanism. For this market, comparing Polymarket odds to sportsbook freshman-draft projections can reveal whether the crowd expects more or fewer freshmen than the consensus line, offering a distinct perspective on draft composition expectations.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that balances supply and demand for over and under positions on the 21.5 freshman threshold. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current market reflects the collective probability estimate of participants who believe freshmen will exceed or fall short of that number. As traders buy and sell shares, the price continuously adjusts, with the spread between over and under outcomes indicating confidence levels around the final freshman count in the 2026 draft class.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the 2026 NBA Draft concludes and the final count of freshmen selected becomes verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome hinges on an exact tally of draft picks from players who were freshmen at the time of selection, compared against the 21.5 threshold. Traders holding over positions win if 22 or more freshmen are drafted; under positions win if 21 or fewer are selected. Resolution depends on confirmed draft data from official NBA sources.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the draft: early NBA mock drafts and scouting reports highlighting freshman talent, college basketball tournament performances that raise or lower freshman visibility, injury announcements affecting draft prospects, and declared early entries or returns to school. Coaching changes, transfer portal activity, and media coverage of freshman-heavy draft classes all influence trader expectations. As the draft date approaches, official NBA combine results, pre-draft workouts, and team-specific rumors about freshman interest will likely drive significant price movement in this market.
