Polymarket
This market tracks which player will be selected with the second overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. On Polymarket, Darryn Peterson holds the leading position at 57.0%, while Cameron Boozer follows at 24.5%. Resolution will be determined by official NBA information or credible reporting consensus. The market will settle on June 24, 2026, when the NBA Draft takes place.
This market will resolve to “Yes” if the listed player is drafted second overall in the 2026 NBA Draft. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If the 2026 NBA Draft is canceled, postponed or not completed by July 9, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-time trader consensus and can differ meaningfully from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate thousands of independent bets from informed participants. Prediction markets often respond faster to breaking news—injuries, draft declarations, or performance changes—than sportsbooks adjust their lines. Comparing Polymarket odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the market sees value or disagreement on the 2nd pick outcome.
The market resolves on Jun 24, 2026, coinciding with the 2026 NBA Draft. Resolution is determined by the official announcement of which player is selected with the 2nd overall pick. The outcome is objective and verifiable through the NBA's public draft broadcast and records. Once the pick is announced, the winning contract (matching the actual player selected) resolves to YES at full value, and all other candidate contracts resolve to NO. This binary structure ensures clear, dispute-free settlement.
Several catalysts can shift odds for the 2nd pick. College basketball performance—standout tournament runs, injury setbacks, or statistical breakouts—directly influences prospect stock. Draft declarations or withdrawal announcements from top players reshape the available pool. NBA team roster moves, coaching changes, and publicly stated draft priorities signal which prospects teams may target. Mock draft updates from respected analysts and media coverage can sway trader sentiment. Combine performance, medical reports, and late-season college games all provide fresh data that traders incorporate into their positions on the 2nd overall outcome.
