This event group tracks which song will rank #2 on Spotify's US chart for the week labeled August 7, 2026. Markets resolve based on official Spotify chart data released on Fridays, reflecting streams from the previous week (Friday to Thursday).
Spotify curates a playlist of the most streamed songs globally and updates it on Fridays to reflect streaming data for the previous week, beginning on the preceding Friday and ending on Thursday. This market will resolve according to the second most-streamed song in the U.S. on Spotify for the week labeled August 7. If Spotify does not release its #2 song for the week labeled August 7 by August 8, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will default to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from Spotify. The weekly top songs - USA chart can be found on open.spotify.com under the "Charts" heading. This market and these products have not been endorsed by Spotify. Any references to Spotify, Spotify charts, streaming data, or any associated marks are descriptive only and do not indicate an endorsement of this product or any affiliation between Spotify and Polymarket. Spotify and related marks are the property of Spotify AB and its group companies.
The event determines whether any of the listed music videos—Dai Dai, MOON, petal, Barbaadi, Golden, Life Goes On, Waka Waka, Sunflower, Shararat, Todo Lo Fue, Sebebi Yar, Basinga Balaalu, Nano, ICONIC BY MISTAKE, or Jaiye Sajana—ranks #2 on YouTube Charts’ Daily Top Music Videos Global chart dated August 5, 2026. Each market resolves to 'Yes' exclusively if its respective song achieves this specific ranking on the designated date. All markets explicitly state that YouTube has not endorsed these products, and any references to YouTube are purely descriptive, emphasizing the absence of formal affiliation or endorsement between YouTube and the event organizer. The structure ensures clarity that success is strictly tied to chart performance, with no additional performance metrics or contextual factors influencing the outcome.
Several signals could shift probabilities in this market before it settles. Major playlist placements, celebrity endorsements, viral social media moments, or unexpected chart drops can all influence trader sentiment. Weekly streaming updates and media coverage leading up to August 7 will also affect perceptions. Any last-minute surge in streams for competing tracks may cause rapid repricing on both Polymarket and Kalshi as traders react to new data.
