Three professional golfers compete in a 3-ball format during the first round of the 2026 John Deere Classic. The golfer with the lowest score for the round wins the matchup.
Resolution is determined by the lowest score achieved during the 1st round of the 2026 John Deere Classic. If multiple participants tie for the lowest score, the Yes payout is divided equally among tied participants ($1/N rounded down to the nearest cent), with the No payout receiving the remainder. Any golfer who withdraws prior to teeing off will result in all markets resolving to fair market value.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders risking real capital. This market's odds may lead or lag sportsbook lines depending on information flow and trader conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where professional oddsmakers and prediction market participants disagree, potentially highlighting value or consensus shifts in how the matchup is perceived.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the supply and demand for that contract at any given time, with the implied probability derived from the current market price. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, prices adjust dynamically, allowing you to enter or exit positions at the prevailing market rate.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the 3-Ball match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by the official result of the event as reported through established sports reporting channels. Until that time, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information and developments influence their expectations about which outcome will occur.
Several factors could shift prices in this market before resolution. Injury reports, recent form or performance updates, and head-to-head matchup analysis may influence trader positioning. Media coverage, expert commentary, and any changes to event conditions could also trigger repricing. Additionally, as the event date approaches, late-breaking news or betting action from sharp bettors may accelerate price movement. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate shifts in market sentiment and adjust their positions accordingly.
