Description

In a 3-ball golf competition format, three golfers compete together during the first round of the 2026 John Deere Classic. The golfer with the lowest score for the round wins the matchup. If a golfer withdraws before teeing off, all related markets resolve to fair market value.

Kalshi

The winner of each 3-ball matchup is determined by the lowest score recorded during the first round of the 2026 John Deere Classic. If two or more participants finish the round tied for the lowest score, the Yes payout is divided equally among all tied participants, calculated as $1 divided by the number of tied golfers and rounded down to the nearest cent, with the No payout representing the remainder. Any golfer who withdraws prior to teeing off triggers resolution of all markets at fair market value.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may price the three golfers differently than major sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges or if one book attracts heavier action on a particular side. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees hidden value.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each golfer's outcome. This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the 1st Round 3-Ball event concludes and results are verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by the actual performance and scoring of the three golfers in their grouping during the first round. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the event's completion, allowing traders to settle positions promptly. Check the market details for any specific conditions or tie-breaking rules that may apply.

Several factors may shift odds before resolution. Recent form and tournament history of each golfer, course conditions, and weather forecasts can all influence trader positioning. Injury announcements or late withdrawals would trigger sharp repricing. Pre-tournament commentary from analysts and betting syndicates often moves the market as new information surfaces. Live scoring during the round itself will drive the most dramatic swings, as traders react to real-time performance and adjust their bets based on how each player is actually playing.
