Resolution is based on the official result of map 1 as published by the governing body or tournament organizer. If the match is cancelled before play begins, the market resolves to fair market price. If the map is cancelled before play begins, the market resolves to fair market price. If a match is forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to fair market price. If a map is forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to fair market price. If a map begins and is subsequently forfeited, the market resolves according to the official result published by the governing body or tournament organizer.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and risk models. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage liability, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many independent traders competing for profit. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, especially if one venue has sharper information or different trader composition. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest and where outlier views persist in the betting ecosystem.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective forecast of all active traders; as new information surfaces, participants adjust their positions, and the price moves accordingly. Tighter spreads indicate higher confidence and liquidity, while wider spreads suggest uncertainty or lower trading activity. You can enter limit or market orders to express your view on the matchup.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the Map 1 result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match result reported by the esports organization or league governing the event. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds fluctuate. Resolution happens automatically once the event concludes and the result is confirmed, at which time winning positions are settled and losing positions expire worthless.
Several factors can shift odds before resolution. Team roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions announced before the match could alter expectations. Recent performance trends, head-to-head records, and map-specific statistics may influence trader positioning. Pre-match commentary from analysts and community sentiment on social media can also sway the market. Closer to game time, any official statements about conditions or format tweaks might trigger repricing. Real-time in-game events—early kills, economy advantages, or tactical surprises—will drive the most dramatic price movements.
