Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Polymarket and Kalshi both resolve based on the official match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 12, 2026, with identical handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official Bundesliga statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers; if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus may be used.
Core resolution logic:
The match outcome is determined after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only (no extra time or penalties).
Three mutually exclusive outcomes are possible: Mainz wins (resolves YES on Mainz market, NO on Freiburg and draw markets), Freiburg wins (resolves YES on Freiburg market, NO on Mainz and draw markets), or draw (resolves YES on draw market, NO on Mainz and Freiburg markets).
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, Mainz and Freiburg win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is played and completed.
Cancellation Without Make-Up: If the match is canceled entirely with no rescheduled make-up game, the Mainz win and Freiburg win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES.
Resolution Timing: Official Bundesliga statistics are the primary source. If not published within 2 hours after match conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting sources may be used instead.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official Bundesliga announcement of the final match result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, or upon consensus credible reporting if official statistics are not published within 2 hours post-match.
