Frequently asked questions

It’s common to see differences between prediction market odds and those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set their odds to attract balanced betting and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those on Polymarket, it could indicate disagreement about the true probability of a particular result. These discrepancies can arise from differing information sources, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the available data.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price of each share adjusts to reflect the current consensus view. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive up its price, increasing its implied probability, and vice-versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information and collective intelligence of the traders.

This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Zvolynskyi vs. Zavoloka match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to share holders accordingly. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available and verifiable information to ensure a fair and transparent outcome for all participants.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market leading up to Oct 28, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment. Publicly released analysis from sports experts, or even significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks, might also cause fluctuations in the price of shares. Monitoring these signals can help you understand how the market is reacting to new information.
