This market refers to the cricket match between India Women and Zimbabwe Women scheduled for October 28 2026 at 4:30 AM ET in Zimbabwe Women Tour of India ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their beliefs about the outcome of the India vs Zimbabwe ODI series. The price of these shares reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd and adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand. Essentially, traders are betting on their predictions, and the resulting price movements indicate the market's assessment of each possible result. The current price of a share represents the implied probability of that outcome occurring, and reflects the aggregate views of all participants in this market.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the India vs Zimbabwe ODI series, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The winning team, or a draw if applicable, will determine the settlement of this market. Traders should monitor official sources for the final results to understand how their positions will be settled.
Numerous events could influence the trading activity in this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player injuries or illnesses on either the Indian or Zimbabwean teams would likely cause a shift in probabilities. Unexpected changes in team lineups or strategic approaches announced by either side could also move the market. Furthermore, the performance of key players in the initial matches of the India vs Zimbabwe ODI series will be a major driver of price action, as will any significant weather disruptions impacting gameplay.
