PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's market resolves 'Yes' if either team wins, while Polymarket's question is more open-ended and implicitly requires specifying the winning team.Hero tip: Consider that Kalshi's market will always resolve 'Yes' if the match is completed with a winner, making it less valuable for directional prediction.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: The market refers to the match between India Women and Zimbabwe Women, with no explicit win condition stated. Resolution relies on standard cricket match resolution rules (tiebreakers, DLS/DRS).
  • Kalshi: The market resolves to 'Yes' if either India or Zimbabwe wins the match. "If India wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If Zimbabwe wins...then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between India Women and Zimbabwe Women scheduled for October 23 2026 at 4:30 AM ET in Zimbabwe Women Tour of India ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

The event resolves based on the official result declared by the governing cricket body for the India vs Zimbabwe women's One Day International match scheduled for October 23, 2026. If either India or Zimbabwe is declared the official winner, the corresponding market will resolve to Yes. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, cancellation, or insufficient play to determine a winner, all markets resolve to $0.50. In cases of forfeit, disqualification, or concession, markets resolve to $0.50 if the issue occurs before play begins; if it occurs after play starts and the governing body declares a winner, the market resolves based on that declared result.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' that can differ from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on models and internal analysis, while prediction markets allow individuals to bet on their beliefs, creating a dynamic price discovery process. This can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, particularly as more information becomes available. However, sportsbooks may offer different types of bets or have different margins, impacting direct comparisons. It’s wise to consider both when evaluating potential outcomes for this market.

Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Unexpected injuries to key players on either team, changes in weather conditions that favor one side, or significant shifts in team form could all influence trader sentiment. News regarding team selection, strategic changes, or player availability will likely cause price movements. Major upsets in earlier matches of the series could also lead to reassessment of probabilities. Monitoring sports news, expert analysis, and the performance of both teams will be crucial for understanding potential catalysts that could move this market.
