Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event as determined by traders. It’s common to see prediction market prices that are more efficient, reflecting a broader range of information and opinions. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information available to each group and varying risk appetites. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making.
