Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by individuals freely trading based on their own research and insights. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Analyzing these differences can be valuable for identifying potential value in either market, but remember that both represent probabilities of the same underlying outcome.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders about the probability of that outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that as more people buy contracts predicting a particular result, the price increases, and vice versa. The market efficiently aggregates information as traders react to news, analysis, and other relevant factors, constantly updating the implied probabilities.

This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Several factors could influence this market leading up to Oct 22, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing surface conditions, or significant shifts in player form could all cause the odds to move. Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or even broader trends in tennis performance, might also impact trading activity. Furthermore, large volume trades from informed bettors could signal new information or a change in sentiment, causing a noticeable shift in the market price. Monitoring these signals is key to understanding the evolving probabilities.
