Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early in the market’s lifecycle, as prediction markets can be more sensitive to specialized knowledge or information not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines. However, as the event approaches, the odds on this market and those offered by sportsbooks often converge, reflecting a shared understanding of the likely outcome.
