It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when there’s significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. Examining these differences can reveal where the crowd believes sportsbooks may be over- or under-estimating the chances of a particular result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores in the Yunnan vs Wuhan soccer match, and the price of each share reflects the current market consensus on its probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people buy shares of a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adapt to new information and changing sentiment.
