Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the price will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ strengths. It’s common to see prediction markets offer more accurate probabilities, especially closer to the event.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the second half result of the Yunnan Yukun vs. Chongqing match. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of participants.

This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result of the second half of the Yunnan Yukun vs. Chongqing match will be used to determine the winning contract. The platform will verify the final score against official sources to ensure an accurate and unbiased resolution. Traders holding the winning contract will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
