This market refers to the cricket match between India Under-19s and Australia Under-19s scheduled for October 5 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Youth Test Match. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially when information is asymmetric. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as new information and opinions emerge, offering a unique comparison point to conventional betting options. It’s a way to gauge the ‘wisdom of the crowd’.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, converging towards a consensus probability. The market’s liquidity, currently at $629, influences how easily traders can enter and exit positions, impacting price discovery. Essentially, the market price is a real-time estimate of the likelihood of a particular result.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official result declared by the governing body of the Youth Test Match. Resolution will occur when the official scorecard is published and widely available. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution. The market’s settlement will reflect the definitive result of the India U19 vs Australia U19 match.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries or changes in team lineups for either the India Under-19s or Australia Under-19s could significantly shift expectations. Weather forecasts for the match location are also important, as conditions can heavily impact the game’s dynamics. Pre-match analysis from cricket experts and commentators could also sway trader sentiment. Finally, any unexpected developments in the lead-up to the match, such as changes in coaching staff or controversies, could all contribute to price movements in this market.
