On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe Indiana St. will win the first half, they will buy contracts for that outcome, driving up the price and indicating a higher probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team of the first half of the Youngstown St. vs Indiana St. game will determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on the official results published by the governing body of the game, ensuring an objective and verifiable outcome. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances shortly after the official announcement.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Youngstown St. or Indiana St. would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team strategy, weather conditions, or even pre-game analysis from sports commentators could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup changes or reports of team morale issues could also move the market. As the game approaches, real-time updates and early game performance will be key catalysts for price adjustments in this market.
