If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market represents the collective belief of informed traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it might suggest the crowd perceives information differently than bookmakers, or that there's an arbitrage opportunity. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of an outcome, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the probability of that score occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders believe a particular score is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice-versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly, offering a forward-looking assessment of the match's potential result.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Yeovil Town vs. Altrincham match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score as officially recorded by the relevant football authorities will determine the winning outcome in this market. It’s important to note that any potential delays in official score reporting could impact the resolution timeline, but the platform will aim to finalize the market as soon as reliable information becomes available.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Yeovil Town or Altrincham would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they suggest conditions favoring one team’s playing style, could also impact the market. Furthermore, any pre-match analysis from reputable football analysts or unexpected lineup announcements could prompt traders to reassess their predictions, leading to price fluctuations in this market.
