Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Yarovyi vs. Badanin match. The price of each share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the crowd. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive its price up, indicating a greater perceived likelihood of it happening, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event’s probability.

This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Yarovyi vs. Badanin match as reported by the governing sports authority. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders who held shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Nov 5, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected developments related to either Yarovyi Viacheslav or Badanin Oleksandr could shift market sentiment.
