If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, potentially driving the prediction market odds in a different direction. It's a dynamic comparison that reveals differing perspectives.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic process ensures the market price continuously adjusts to incorporate new information and changing sentiment regarding the Derepasko vs Peliwo match.
