Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to reflect the true probabilities as assessed by traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, risk assessments, or simply variations in opinion. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those seen on Polymarket, it could signal an opportunity for informed traders to capitalize on perceived mispricings, or indicate differing levels of public confidence in a particular outcome.
