This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player qualifies for the singles draw of the 2026 WTA Finals, currently scheduled for November 8 to November 15, 2026, in Indian Wells, United States, per WTA rules. Otherwise, the associated market will resolve to "No". A player qualifies if the WTA officially names her as one of the eight singles qualifiers for the 2026 WTA Finals, whether through her position in the Race to the WTA Finals or through the WTA's Grand Slam champion qualification rule. The singles field has eight places, and a Grand Slam champion who qualifies under that rule fills one of those eight places. A player who qualifies and later withdraws before or during the tournament will still count as having qualified. A player who only takes part as an alternate, without being officially named as one of the eight singles qualifiers, will not count. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed player to qualify for the 2026 WTA Finals singles draw, the associated market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 WTA Finals are canceled, postponed after November 29, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the eight singles qualifiers have not been officially confirmed by the WTA within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the WTA (https://www.wtatennis.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house bias or promotional offers. Sportsbooks may also adjust their odds more slowly to react to new information than this market, where traders can instantly update their assessments. While both aim to predict the same outcomes, the mechanisms and information sources differ, leading to potential discrepancies. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, especially as an event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a player will qualify for the WTA Finals. The price of each share directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders believe a player is likely to qualify, the price of shares increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official list of WTA Finals qualifiers is published and verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will reflect which players have earned a spot in the tournament based on the official WTA rankings and qualification criteria. Resolution will occur after the final qualifying events have concluded and the official participant list is released. The outcome will be determined by the official WTA standings at that time.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a major catalyst, as they directly affect a player’s ability to compete and accumulate ranking points. Unexpected tournament results, such as a top player experiencing an early exit, could also shift probabilities. Changes in the WTA rankings, driven by tournament performance, will continuously update the market’s assessment of each player's qualification chances. News regarding a player’s form, fitness, or potential withdrawal from events will also be closely watched by traders.
