This market assesses whether specific wide receivers will rank among the top performers in fantasy football points during Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season, using a full-point-per-reception scoring system.
Each market resolves to Yes if the named wide receiver finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points for all wide receivers in Week 7 of the 2026 NFL regular season. Points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring, which awards points for receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns, and other statistical categories as detailed in the scoring format. If a player does not participate in the week, they are considered to have scored zero points. In the event of a tie at the qualifying position, contracts for all tied players settle at a fractional value based on the number of tied players (e.g., 1/N where N is the number of tied players). All wide receivers are ranked, including those without a listed market, and player-group determination is made by Sleeper at the time of market expiration.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Generally, if prediction market probabilities for a particular wide receiver being in the top 5 are higher than implied by sportsbook odds, it suggests that traders believe the sportsbook is undervaluing that player's potential. This difference can present opportunities for arbitrage or informed speculation.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of a specific wide receiver finishing in the top 5. As more people buy a contract, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling contracts drives the price down. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract represents the implied probability of that outcome, and the sum of all contract prices cannot exceed 100. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official fantasy point totals for Week 7 are verified against credible public reporting. The wide receivers with the top 5 highest fantasy point totals, as determined by standard fantasy scoring rules, will be considered the winning outcomes in this market. The resolution will be based on official data from major fantasy sports providers and will be publicly available to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports are crucial; news of a key wide receiver being injured or ruled out would likely shift probabilities. Changes in quarterback performance or game matchups could also influence expectations. Unexpected coaching decisions or weather forecasts impacting passing games could also move the market. Finally, any significant news regarding player trades or depth chart changes could lead to substantial shifts in trading activity and contract prices within this market.
