This market assesses whether specific wide receivers will rank among the top performers in fantasy football points during a designated week, using a points-per-reception scoring system that rewards receptions, yards, and touchdowns. The outcome hinges on each player's performance relative to others at the same position in that week.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the named wide receiver finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points for all eligible wide receivers in Week 6 of the 2026 Pro Football regular season. Points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring, which awards receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns, and select special teams contributions. Players who do not participate score zero points. Ties at the qualifying positions follow dead-heat rules, with each tied player's contract settling proportionally (e.g., $0.50 each if two players tie for the fifth spot). All rankings and point totals are determined by Sleeper at market expiration.
Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, incorporating a broader range of information than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs about player performance. As a result, you may find that the implied probabilities from this market differ from those offered by sportsbooks, especially as new information becomes available. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect the true probabilities of outcomes, particularly when there's significant public interest and trading activity.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on official fantasy point totals from a major fantasy football provider for Week 6 of the NFL season. The top 5 wide receivers, as determined by these official fantasy point totals, will be the winning outcomes in this market. The final prices of the contracts will reflect the accuracy of the market’s predictions and the collective intelligence of its traders.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports are crucial; news of a key injury to a top receiver will likely shift probabilities. Changes in quarterback performance or offensive schemes can also influence a receiver’s projected fantasy points. Unexpected matchups or defensive adjustments by opposing teams could create favorable or unfavorable scenarios for specific players. Finally, general news and analysis from fantasy football experts and analysts can sway public opinion and trading activity, causing prices to move in response to evolving expectations.
