This event determines which wide receiver accumulates the most fantasy points in a specific week of the professional football season, using a standard scoring system that rewards receptions, yards, touchdowns, and other key plays.
Each market assesses whether a specified wide receiver achieves the highest total full-PPR fantasy points for all wide receivers in Week 5 of the 2026 Pro Football regular season. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns, and other statistical categories. If the designated player finishes with the most points, the respective market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. In the event of a tie for the highest score among multiple players, the payout is divided equally among all tied markets (i.e., resolved as 1/N, where N is the number of tied players), and no holder receives the full $1 prize minus the Yes payout. Players who do not participate in the week are considered to have scored zero points. All wide receivers, including those without a listed market, are ranked based on Sleeper's data at the time of expiration.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own research and insights. If a large number of traders believe a particular receiver will outperform expectations, the odds for that receiver will shift accordingly. This can lead to discrepancies between the two, as the prediction market is more responsive to collective intelligence.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about which wide receiver will lead in fantasy points for Week 5. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The higher the price, the greater the implied probability of that receiver being the leader.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The wide receiver with the highest fantasy point total for Week 5, as calculated by a major fantasy sports provider, will be considered the winner. The resolution will be based on official fantasy point totals and will be determined independently of the market itself. The final price of the winning contract on Kalshi will reflect the market’s final assessment of that player’s likelihood of success.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports are crucial; if a top-performing receiver is ruled out, their odds will likely decrease, and others will rise. Matchups also play a role – a favorable matchup against a weak pass defense could boost a receiver’s prospects. News regarding quarterback performance or changes in offensive strategy could also move the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception or expert analysis could influence trading activity and alter the odds for each player.
