This market will resolve according to the team that advances from the Play-In stage of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026) to the Swiss Stage. The Play-In stage is currently scheduled for October 15 to October 18, 2026, in Los Angeles. Under the published format, four teams compete in the Play-In stage and exactly one team advances to the Swiss Stage. The team that advances is the winner of the Play-In stage's final qualifying match, as officially declared by Riot Games at the conclusion of the Play-In stage. Teams seeded directly into the Swiss Stage are not considered. Any later disqualification, withdrawal, or replacement of the advancing team will not be considered. If the Play-In stage is postponed after November 17, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or an advancing team has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks frequently set lines to attract balanced betting, while this market allows traders to express their true beliefs about team advancement. If a team is widely considered a lock, its price on Polymarket will likely be higher than its implied probability from sportsbook odds. Conversely, undervalued teams may present opportunities for profitable trades in this market, based on discrepancies between the two. It’s common to see convergence as the event approaches.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which teams successfully advance from the Worlds 2026 Play-In stage, as officially determined by the tournament organizers and reported by established esports news outlets. The market will settle to 100% for the teams that advance and 0% for those that do not. Traders should monitor official announcements for the definitive results that will trigger settlement.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major roster changes for participating teams, unexpected results in preliminary matches, or news regarding player health and form could all shift trader sentiment. Any announcements from Riot Games regarding the tournament format or seeding could also cause price fluctuations. Furthermore, in-depth analysis from esports experts and prominent community figures can sway opinions and drive trading activity in this market, especially as we get closer to the start of the Worlds 2026 Play-In stage.
